Love Injection founders Paul Raffaele and Barbie Bertisch and recording artists Holy Ghost! presented a collection of rare print materials from the foundational New York City record label West End Records on Saturday, March 23rd & Sunday March 24th 2019 at Come Together: Music Festival And Label Market at MoMA PS1. The archive included contributions from Ben Goldfarb, Andy Reynolds, Judy Russell, and Justin Strauss.
They curated a conversation on Sunday, March 24th 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the VW Dome moderated by Mark Riley with Taana Gardner and Kenton Nix, creators of the heavily sampled, highly influential 1981 West End Records hit song “Heartbeat”.
A 32-page, 2-color zine with a selection of scans from the archive was made and distributed for free.
